Dear Las Vegas Golf Enthusiast,
The Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame was created in 1991 to honor those individuals and organizations that have made lasting impressions or contributions to the game of golf in Southern Nevada. The Hall of Fame currently consists of 26 inductees that include, among others, The 1998 UNLV NCAA Championship golf team, golf instructor Butch Harmon, PGA Tour players Chris Riley and Robert Gamez, women’s amateur champion Helen Cannon, long-time amateur champions Brady Exber and Louis Redden, PGA of America professional Jerry Roberts, and many other deserving Las Vegas golf community members who have positively impacted the game of golf in Las Vegas.
To further honor these individuals, the Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame was dedicated at the inaugural Hall of Fame Pro Am in June of 2009 at Las Vegas National, a club with it’s own deep and rich history including the hosting of such prestigious events as the PGA Tour’s Tournament of Champions, Sahara Invitational, and Las Vegas Invitational, and many other world class tournaments including the LPGA Championship. In addition, the mission of the Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame is to continually promote golf in Las Vegas
The 2013 Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame Pro-Am will be held Monday, July 1 at Cascata (8:00 AM shotgun start) with members of the Hall of Fame as special guests in the event.
The format is one professional and four amateurs. The entry fee for golf professionals is $200. Amateur entry fees are $200 per player or $800 per team ($1000 if you are bringing a PGA of America pro). Prizes will be awarded to both professionals and amateurs. Lunch will be served after play and the Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame 2013 inductees will be announced at that time. A team is made up of four amateurs and a professional.
