Jerry Roberts

PGA of America Golf Professional

Mr. Jerry Roberts has served the PGA of America as a golf professional for more than four decades, and through his induction, he was still active in the Las Vegas golf community.
Mr. Roberts served as a professional at several Las Vegas golf courses including the historic Desert Inn Golf Club and Las Vegas Country Club. But it was at Spanish Trail Golf and Country Club where he made his indelible impact. He was the professional director at the private club for more than two decades, and helped open up the ambitious project that was one of the first world-class venues in Las Vegas. The opening was a signal to the world that Las Vegas was ready to evolve into a major golf destination.
Mr. Roberts, along with his wife Barb, were very active in many ways in the Las Vegas community, including when Roberts, along with several others, created the Southern Nevada Junior Golf Association, “As a Club Professional you are taught to wear a variety of hats to fulfill your duties at the course and community level,” says Joe Kelly, Las Vegas Chapter, PGA of America, about the illustrious career of Mr. Roberts. “No club professional in the Las Vegas Valley has ever accomplished this at a higher level than Jerry Roberts.”
