Art Sellinger


Art Sellinger was literally the driving force behind the success of the world long drive competition as he was the U.S. National Long Drive Champion twice and is a member of the Long Drivers of America Hall of Fame.

Sellinger was a member of the UNLV golf team (1984-1985) after graduating from Chapparal High School.

He helped bring the long drive competition to the masses and was instrumental in getting the event national TV coverage which included stops in Mesquite and Las Vegas for huge events.

In his early days, Sellinger was honored for his marketing skills as he helped grow the long drive brand into a national powerhouse.

  • Graduated from Chaparral High School in Las Vegas and went on to play college golf at UNLV.
  • Was named as one of the ‘Forty Under Forty’ by Golfweek in 2002.
  • Fortunes Small Business magazine honored Sellinger as a rising star in sports marketing in 2003.
  • Widely regarded as the main reason the Long Drive Championship grew to such heights that includes entrants from more than 30 countries.
