Laurie Johnson

Biography

Laurie Johnson’s amateur career speaks for itself.

Johnson had a victory in the 2010 Nevada Senior Amateur Championship as well as six victories at the Southern Nevada Amateur Championship. She also had multiple victories in the Nevada State Women’s Partners tournament to go along with eight wins in the Nevada State Women’s Quad Tournament.

She also served as the co-captain of the South’s team in the Silver Cup competition and played in the event 11 times.

She was just as ambitious off the course as she served on the Nevada State Women’s Golf Association board for many years.

List of Achievements

  • Johnson’s accomplishments in the world of amateur golf are too many to list, but some of those include: 2010 Southern Nevada Senior Amateur Champion as well as the Southern Nevada Amateur Champion (six times).
  • Johnson also excelled when it came to team events, claiming two titles in the Nevada State Women’s Partners Tournament and eight crowns in the Nevada State Women’s Quad Tournament.
  • She also was instrumental in the women’s Silver Cup tournaments, working as the co-captain three times and playing on the squad 11 times.
  • Johnson served on the Nevada State Women’s Golf Association board for more than six years, holding positions such as vice-president, tournament chair, secretary and future sites.
