Garry Goett


Garry Goett put an impressive stamp on the Vegas golf community when his group, Olympia Companies, unveiled Southern Highlands in 1999.

The private course is home to the UNLV Rebels and is one of just four courses designed by Robert Trent Jones and his son, Robert Trent Jones, Jr.

The course was also a previous course host for the Shriners Children’s Open.

Goett and the course also play host to the annual Governor’s Black Tie Invitational which has raised many millions of dollars for charity.

  • Goett received an undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Calgary and a law degree from the University of Toronto.
  • He practiced law for 12 years before founding Olympia Companies.
  • Goett has served on a variety of boards in Southern Nevada including Opportunity Village, St. Rose Dominican Hospitals, Assistance League of Las Vegas and Make-A-Wish Foundation.
  • Is responsible for the Southern Highlands Charitable Foundation that has helped children, teens and women in need in the Las Vegas community.
