Warren Schutte


Warren Schutte was one of the earliest recruits to play golf at UNLV and won the 1991 NCAA individual title.

With the victory, Schutte also earned a spot to play in the Masters.

Schutte played on the PGA Tour and earned spots in the tournaments played in Las Vegas in 1993 and 2010.

He now runs a Players Academy in Arizona that turns out top juniors and amateur players including his daughter, Abbey.

  • Warren Schutte’s NCAA title in 1991 likely opened the door for future Rebel stars including Chris Riley, Ryan Moore, Adam Scott, Jeremy Anderson and many more.
  • Schutte now joins a UNLV contingent of players and a head coach.
  • Played on the PGA Tour and made five of 15 cuts. Two of the events he played in were in Las Vegas in 1993 and 2010.
